Andrea and Michael got married at The Joule Hotel in Downtown Dallas a few weeks back, and they did it a little different than most people do. Normally, ceremonies are held on the rooftop and receptions are in the ballroom. This one was backwards. So, they had a romantic candle-lit ceremony in the ballroom and we got to dance the rest of the night away on the rooftop under the stars! It was an awesome night.
Remember my awesome San Francisco couple, John & Anh? They tied the knot at the Dallas Hilton Anatole last October (yeah, yeah, I’m a little behind on my blogging). We kicked off the day with a tea ceremony in one of the hotel suites, where the bridesmaids required the groomsmen to do some tough yoga moves and pay a handsome sum of cash in order for John to be able to see Anh. They followed this up with an outdoor ceremony, and a good ole party in the ballroom. One of my favorite things about these weddings is the table greetings. Guests can come up with some seriously awesome tasks for the new bride and groom to complete in order to get their gifts, cards or for no reason at all!
This was not only a wedding for us, but also a reunion of sorts! Lindsey’s younger sister grew up with my younger sister, so we basically grew up with this family! We also had many friends in common, so many of the guests were old faces too. You may even recognize a previous wedding client or two in the bunch.
Wes and Lindsey got married at Poetry Springs in October on what was supposed to be a mild fall day… Texas had other plans for the weather that day. It turned out to be one of the hottest days in the history of all mankind (only a slight exaggeration). Regardless, it was an insanely beautiful wedding, put together by some crazy talented vendors. It consisted of a fantastic outdoor ceremony followed by a killer party. Great night…
Robert and Katelyn have been such a pleasure to work with this year! One of the sweetest couples and so ridiculously crazy about each other that taking photos of them is almost too easy. They got married at a great new venue in Celina called the Venue at Waterstone. It is basically a huge barn out in the middle of nowhere, and it’s the perfect setting to give any wedding, large or small, an intimate feel. Throw in some fried chicken and barbeque, and you’ve won us over instantly!
