Nate and Joy got married a few weeks ago and I have been pretty excited about posting these. They did the reveal so we were able to get a TON of bride and groom pics, but that wasn’t my favorite thing about this wedding. The reception was at the Dallas Flight Museum. How creative, right? Whooda thunk! It was really a cool atmosphere with the music playing, the lights down low and giant airplanes hanging overhead. The weird thing was that we pretty much had free reign of the entire facility, so we had a ton of good photo opportunities. Another good thing about this place is that there was a playground for the kids to play on while the parents partied. It was a good time! Here is a sneak…

So one of my best friends, Sean, told me about a month ago of his plans to propose to his girlfriend. After talking a little about his plans on how to do it, I suggested we set it up so that I could be hiding somewhere taking pictures of it when he did it. So one night when Kayla thought he was at home sleeping, he was really over at my place scheming. We brainstormed for a while on how to go about doing it too. Our problem was that we thought she may be expecting it, so we wanted to throw her completely off the path. So he planned a normal everyday date night to the Shops at Legacy in Plano where they were just going to go out to eat and hang out. Then they took a leisurely stroll around the big pond at the shops where he dropped to one knee and popped the question. It was really cool, but she swears up and down she knew all along. Oh well, they are engaged now and that’s all that matters. Afterwards, we walked around and used what little sunlight we had left to get some pics. Here is a sneak…

I have been pretty stoked about this wedding for two reasons; I always get stoked about shooting at the Piazza and I was excited to finally meet Chad and Adrian. Both of them serve our country overseas, so communication was limited between us. But if there is one thing I know from shooting the weddings of military people, they know how to have a good time. Another thing I have noticed about couples who are involved in the military is that they have this crazy obsession with one another and do not want to be apart for even one minute. You could really tell with Chad and Adrian that this was an amazing time for them, and they weren’t going to let anything distract them from one another or take any of the time they had for granted. When we were doing bride and groom pictures they would get so caught up talking to each other and looking into the other’s eyes that they completely zoned me out a few times, haha. I am not complaining though because it makes for great pics. Here is a sneak…

After spending the day doing engagements with Kelly and James, I cannot wait for their wedding. We toughed out the 100 degree temperature and got some really awesome pics. (Paciugo helped cool us down) It was awesome shooting a couple who was so fun and carefree. Kelly may be the only girl who has ever asked if she can run through fountains for her engagement pictures. Normally it takes some convincing on my part to get someone to do that. Here is a sneak…

Remember Frankie and Jennifer? Well they got married last weekend (kinda). They had the ceremony and reception, but legally, they were already married. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t awesome though. The ceremony was at St. Pius Catholic church in Mesquite with the reception following at the Dallas Athletic Club. I’ve got to say, this was probably the most fun birdal party I have been around too. Everyone was so funny, crazy and outgoing and you could tell they were genuinely excited for Frankie and Jen and to be a part of their day. Here is a sneak…

The time has come again…for a price increase. It sucks, I know! That is why I am giving everyone fair warning. If you have been eyeballing my blog, trying to determine if you want to go with SixFourteen, but not sure…now would probably be the time to schedule a meeting and get something on the books.
Anyone who books their wedding, engagement session or bridal session before July 22nd will recieve my current pricing. I think that’s fair, right?
Oh, and I am going to be changing up the photo layout a little bit too. Nothing too drastic, just a much needed change!
That is all!
This wedding caught me off guard! But in a good way. The original venue for Will and Jamie’s wedding was going to be a ranch in Mansfield, so I researched it and figured up some good picture ideas. Then it switched on me last second, so I got to think on my feet! The ceremony was at Will’s parents house in Arlington which was really nice! So we got to take some fun pics there. Then the reception was at a biker bar in Ft. Worth and, I won’t lie, I was a little skeptical after walking in and seeing bras hanging on the wall and a stripper pole on the stage. But we had a really good time! The crowd was all really fun, the cake was one of the coolest I’ve ever seen and I have NEVER had better smoked pork! My mouth is watering just talking about it. Jesse and Angie got married a couple weeks ago at what is probably my all time favorite wedding venue, The Piazza in the Village. I have about 3 or 4 more weddings there coming up too, so I’m pretty stoked about that. After the ceremony we headed over to the Adolphus Hotel downtown for the reception. They did a great job decorating and the cake was made by someone who has been on TLC’s The Ultimate Cake Off. Here is sneak…

We went downtown to the Adolphus Hotel to shoot Angie’s bridals a few weeks ago. Her and Jesse got married today, so I get to post these finally! Jessica (aka my sexy assistant) and I were amazed at how much of a natural Angie was. I would start to explain to her what to do for a picture, and she would do it before I even finished explaining it. It was a great time…except for when I dropped and broke my flash! Darn that marble staircase! Anyways, here is a sneak…
