Jessica and I have been planning a cruise for almost a year now and finally got to go last week. We left out of Galveston Sunday morning and had a few days at sea to chill. On Tuesday, we went to Paraside Beach in Cozumel to hang out on the beach, snorkle, kayak, swim, climb a giant inflatable iceberg, jump on floating trampolines, lay in a hammock and try to get parrots to say “hello”. On Wednesday, we hit Grand Cayman to go swimming with the stingrays and snorkel over the barrier reef. I have to say that was my favorite day. You jump into the water and the stingrays (wild stingrays, might I add) swarm you like puppy dogs. It freaked us out at first, but they were so gentle and fun to play with. Then on Thursday we took a zipline tour through the forest in Jamaica and that was amazing. We rode 5 ziplines ranging from 250 to 1600 feet in length that took us over the treetops at 35 miles per hour. We got to try coconut water (not coconut milk) that tasted like gatorade, coconut, fresh pineapple and sugarcane too.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera with me on any of the excursions. I didn’t want to take the chance of breaking it or messing it up in any way, but I was able to get some pics around the boat and I got some on Galveston the night before we left. The stingray pictures came from a photographer that worked for the excursion company we came with. Here are some pics from the week…
