This is old news to most people, but I still haven’t gotten a chance to share the album cover photo we shot for CLife Church’s The People Sing. Turned out pretty good! Click the link above to go listen to it!
We started these out at the Shops at Legacy, and then headed over to Arbor Hills Nature Reserve where we got some awesome shots. I felt like I was shooting a J Crew ad with these two, and that was before I realized that everything they were wearing was from J Crew! +1 for fashion sense! -1 from the man card! Anyways, while editing these, all I could smell was campfire for some reason. We weren’t even at a camp ground. These photos just make me want to go camping really bad I guess. That is all… (more…)
I was so excited about these! For one, you can’t take a bad photo of Courtney, so you could shoot in a dumpster and get great pics. But when Courtney decided she wanted her portraits done at the Mansions on Turtle Creek, I may have literally said, “WOOHOO!” Check it out…
Jessica and I have been EXTREMELY blessed to be able to travel a lot this past year. Vegas, Riviera Maya, Paris, Rome, Cabo, Florida… It has been a blast! But the best trip I have ever taken in my life, and one that resonates in my soul, was Paris and Rome this past December. We decided to do a non-traditional Christmas and spend it in another country. So after much deliberation, we decided on Paris, & Rome, neither of which do we even slightly understand the native language.
2 delayed flights, a “home alone”-esque run through the Amsterdam airport, one argument with a mean flight attendant (in which I earned myself a new nickname), a very large Heineken, and one more flight later we’re in Paris! We booked it a little late, so there wasn’t even an option for a ‘one stop’ flight. Worth it though! We stayed at a little hotel near the Eiffel Tower called the Tour D’ Eiffel. For the price, it was fantastic! Amazing and helpful staff, great breakfast, and perfect location! The room, as you can see below, was not big, nor was the bed comfortable or the temperature easy to control, but it’s Paris! Who cares!
I normally don’t do this, but I am going to tell the story along with the photos…
First and foremost, I promise that I am going to start blogging again, and more than once every couple months! Ok, enough on that.
Brian and Heather’s wedding at The Piazza in The Village was so much fun. First of all, it is hard to take a bad photo at the Piazza. But most importantly… Look at these two! They are hard to take a bad photo of! So this wedding was a recipe for awesomeness right from the get-go. They did the first look and we were able to walk around and get some killer B&G shots! The ceremony went great, and the reception… let’s just say good times were had by all! Oh, and the kid in the photo near the end upheld the Colton name well! He had some killer dance moves and pretty much owned the dance floor! Watch out ladies. Here are some of my faves from the night.
